OK, so lots of annoying things have been happening and going wrong of recent, however today seems to have set the start for what I can only hope is a new trend in my luck! My laptop which I pronounced dead not so long ago has come back to life! It was pronounced dead with a motherboard fault causing it to short out and either cut out or not boot at all, followed by the flashing of random keyboard lights. However, if a last ditch attempt to get my files off the laptop before stripping it down for useful parts it decided there was light at the end of the tunnel after all! And the proof being that I am writing this very blog from the laptop now. The little IBM x30 is a fighter I'll give it that (even if the 'G' key is useless!).

Lets just hope it last long enough to copy off some of my files to memory stick... actually, scratch that... lets hope it works fullstop! Althought, I now no longer have an excuse to pine over the Asus eeePC (see the link to the right of the blog window!) to replace my x30... as its now no longer in need of replacement... which is almost annoying!
